Raynil and Adnan have both qualified for the trip to Murrays Bay. Several of you are not very far off. COMPETITION!!
Hi Gigabytes
The promised competition! Our school website is having an update. You might have noticed that the front page has changed, and the class blog links have moved. I would like to change the colour of the front page, but I have a problem....the current logo was made in a programme like Photoshop and has a white background, so it looks silly with a different page colour. Sooo...here's your challenge -
Make a new banner for the top of the front page of the school website. It MUST:
1. Include the name of the school, which needs to be easy to read
2. Include the fantail somewhere
3. Be 1000 pixels wide
4. Be eyecatching
5. Be either a JPG or a GIF file
It MAY:
1. Include photos of children - check with Miss Robinson to ensure those childrens' parents have given permission for them to be on the website
2. Be made using any photo editing software you like - we have Photoplus at school which is a free download
3. Include any font you like - there are lots of free fonts on the internet, but make sure that 'Marshall Laing Primary School' is easy to read.
If you need help, email me to ask a question or arrange a time for me to meet with you. You can find help for using Photoplus at this website.
The winning design will be used on the school website, with your name credited at the bottom of the page. Have fun and don't forget to ask for help!

Mr Warburton has agreed to help groups with their websites for the competition. You need to have some material prepared to put on your website by next Thursday please.
